Mercator
geologists have worked extensively in the resource
industry with both small and large mining companies. We offer a strong
background in grassroots and advanced stage industrial mineral, metallic
mineral, oil and gas, and coal and coal bed methane exploration projects.
Project work has included detailed diamond drilling, surface and underground mapping,
project research, data assessment, deposit investigations and evaluations,
and assessment of large scale open pit mining
plans. Responsibilities have included the generation of conceptual models
through the assessment of geophysical, geochemical and geological data in order
to generate specific mineral targets. In-house computer applications and
software assist clients with database design and development, GIS (MapInfo) and CAD based
mapping, diamond drill hole (Discover), data analysis and deposit evaluation
(Surpac), enhanced gridding and analysis of geological, geochemical and geophysical data
(Discover, Vertical Mapper, Interdex), and 3D modeling (Surpac, Discover 3D) of geological and topographic data sets (XYZ, DEM, DRG).
